His performance and straight talk truly impressed me during the Democratic Debate. I agree he was somewhat "excited" but I think that is what is needed for a lower tier candidate to get press time and further explain his positions. Was anyone else impressed by this man and can he stand a chance against the near untouchable, yet robotic Hillary Clinton and Obama?

I definitely am. I think the US needs a big shake-up to fix the huge mess that's been created. When's the last time you've heard from someone running for office and you didn't think "wow, he's full of sh1t, but he seems to be more truthful than ________ though..."

With regards to Mike Gravel, and his record, I believe what he has to say. As for being "somewhat wild", I think that worked for him to get noticed. People all over the Internet are talking about him and he was just on "The Situation Room" on CNN. He was just invited to the NH debates *today* because of the attention that his appearance at the SC "debate" gave him.

I'm very impressed with this "maverick straight-talker" and I hope he makes it to the end. America deserves better than "politics as usual."

I have watched the debate, but was not impressed he sounds corny to me.

I personally also like a long-shot candidate and his name is Ron Paul (R-Texas) a true Constitutionalist.

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Yes, and he's a fellow Alaskan which is a plus. I like long-shots like Bill "the come back kid" Clinton. I really like Kucinich too. I think we need a little compassion in the White House, except for the fact he reminds me an awfully lot like Jimmy Carter....

Let's give a little kudos for the "Department of Peace and Non-violence" idea. It won't fly but at least he sticks to his guns.

For the meantime, everybody has a shot for the US Presidency especially that no one has been nominated by the dominant parties.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

As he says, he is more experienced than the others. I like his straight-talk attitude. Not afraid to say what he thinks, and I like what he thinks.
