Kennedy NEVER launched an attack on Cuba. Instead, he backed off and left the Cuban patriots fighting to regain control from Castro to be slaughtered at the Bay of Pigs. Certainly that was important when you think of Kennedy. His stealing the election in Illinois was important as was his affair with Marilyn Munroe. Quite frankly he accomplished NOTHING memorable during his presidency unless you want to call his standoff with the Russians over missiles in Cuba as an accomplishment..

John F. Kennedy
1917-63
US President

He was the youngest candidate and first Roman Catholic to be elected President. He launched an unsuccessful attempt to invade Cuba; later he confronted the Russians in the Cuban missiles crisis; signed a nuclear test ban treaty; and directed the US space agency to launch a manned flight to the moon within ten years. To the shock of the nation he was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.
