Because they WANT to believe that our country and our government are evil and corrupt. This is the blame America first crowd. If there is a problem anywhere in the world.....it must be our fault! These are the same people that believe President Bush has the power to create and steer hurricanes wherever he wishes.

I honestly cant say, while most of the conspiracy theory's don't add up and sound like nonsense, some make sense. And honestly there is very little evidence for either side. Most theory's can be debunked, but as the official report was never released nobody really knows. All of you are just restating what you read in newspapers or magazines or saw in a movie or tv a show. I on the other hand was ACTUALLY STANDING 3 city blocks north of the towers when they were hit, i was only 4 blocks away during the first and second collapse. I saw no explosion from the lower floors, the collapse was surprisingly abrupt and rapid in either case. The second tower fell a Little to the west and fell across the west side hi-way onto the winter garden. If any intended explosion occurred it was at the top. The planes were to high to make out markings though they weren't carrying rockets that was just the landing gear pods. What never made any sense to me was The collapse of wtc 7 several hours later. The commonly used statement that thermite residue was found is most likely not true as the insulation used to protect the wtc towers structure was 90 percent the same as thermite but lacked the Catalyst compound needed to explode. In truth there is no clear picture of the events of that day and the truth will most likely never be known

Whenever there is an event of great national importance, like 9/11, the moon landing, the JFK assassination, Pearl Harbor, etc, there will always be conspiracy theorists.
I think for some the idea that there really was nothing the government could do to prevent 9/11, that we really aren't as safe or powerful as we think, is scary. It is much easier to live in a made-up fantasy world where the all-powerful government controls everything rather than accept the most basic cost of freedom, the fact that we will never be completely safe or secure. The whole government conspiracy also helps them give meaning to a completely senseless act of violence and helps them cope with the completely indiscriminate killing and horror that occurred on that terrible day. I personally believe that it is a type of coping mechnism for some people.

WOW, you actually think the Pop Mech suit jobs won that debate???? They were stuttering & engaging in verbal loops the whole time. The Loose Change guys came off as cocky, but also very well-informed.
If you think the Pop Mech suits won, then it just goes to show that you already had your mind made up - and it's closed to all evidence against the Official Government Story.
You say, all evidence points to the contrary????? I can destroy every piece of so-called "evidence" (what you consider to be evidence) you bring up.
In EVERY jet crash in aviation history, there have ALWAYS been aircraft parts found on site with identifiying serial parts numbers. (Virtually all parts on a jet aircraft have serial parts #s for maintenance purposes.) NO PARTS WITH SERIAL NUMBERS HAVE EVER BEEN FOUND, for either AA77 OR UA93.
Can you explain???? You probably can't, because you probably didn't even know about this. Most Americans like you haven't even LOOKED at all the evidence against the official government story.
Americans like you are too afraid to consider the possibility that the Government (or certain elements within it, to be more accurate) could be responsible for 911. You think it's normal when people kill people to get what they want.... but you think it's "conspiracy" when people in governments kill people to get what they want.
This is the Real World, billy. Don't be so naive & innocent to think that powerful people inside the Government couldn't be so Evil... but only Communists, Muslim terrorists, etc are "Evil". Believing what governments say & getting your news from Mainstream Media will NEVER make you an intelligent, free-thinking American.

These two guys from loose change have obvious hatred in their voices. As a former teacher, teaching in a building with mostly democrats, I heard the same hatred. They couldn't stand the positive Bush was getting. They were furious when they were talking about his address to the nation. The conspiracies started then.
As a current editor-filmmaker, I could make a film making it look like Hugh Hefner and the playboy bunnies were behind 9/11.
Adios, Muchachos!

There has to be an inside-job. In order for Americans, to be disgusted enough to vote a Democrat into the White House. Which is the ultimate objective. Democrats deserve the White House. Didn't you get the E-Mail, Billy? Regardless of lack of Policies or reason. Democrats deserve the White House. You haven't been drinking your Kool-aid, have you, Billy? Tisk, Tisk!!

Why do people believe Elvis is still alive?
The 9/11 thing is mostly due to hate for the government. They are blinded by reality and common sense and are certain that they know something the rest of us idiots are too dumb to realize.
Regardless of all the evidence, I promise you that word would leak out had this been an inside job.
The Loose Change thing has already been disproven and explained on about every level.

Hmmmm. Interesting. I never looked at it that way. I never even remotely thought of 911 as an insider job. However, the world, including U.S. is full of lies and bulls. You could be right. There're lines in an American movie that goes, "People think Hitler was crazy. No. Hitler was not crazy. Hitler was stupid. You don't fight America and Russia. You get America and Russia to fight each other and destroy each other." 911 did get America fighting someone. It may not currently be Russia, but it could turn out to be so sometime in future.

Sorry, but I absolutely have to agree with sky2evan! Those Popular Mechanics guys were clearly nervous and stuttering, and sweating, and clearly lying! I could not imagine them being able to pass a lie detector test. Most especially the guy one the left. He was the most obviously lying, of the two. *sm*

My thing is, why does it even matter why it happened?
Everyone knows that many foreigners do not like Americans.
Everyone knows that many times the government keeps things from us.
So who really knows for sure?
One thing is factual...there are some very angry people out there and they are mad at US.
Why is that so hard to believe?
