Any news on the Friday the 13th prequel?

I havent heard much on this lately, I was wondering if any hardcore Jason fans could shed some light on the matter

Jonathan Liebesman is set to direct. Paramount and New Line have just worked out an agreement to do the film together, which is said to be about "...the origins of Jason Voorhees..." It was supposed to come out this year, but I'm guessing next year :-)

heck theyve all ready denied (new line) that there will ever be another nightmare or fredy vs jason movies.
