I was just at the local Hos. and in their waiting room they have a 50 tank in it are 3 huge angelfish and a large plant....on all the edges of the plant there is a soft black velvet What the heck is it?? Oh and the few new leaves dont have any black on them.

Good Answers, the algae is relate to the hair algae that no pleco will touch with a ten foot pole. You need some Siamese alage eaters. They love the stuff and will have it cleaned in a few days. Get a half a dozen or so, they do wonders. Make sure you get the right ones. Do not get the Chinese alage eaters they don't like the stuff either. Good Luck
