Anyone related to finance ministry or R.B.I should explain the meaning and importance of this corss. I am sure that it is not the symbol of "red cross" because no message or caption printed on it.

According to the Reserve Bank of India, it is supposed to represent Unity through Diversity. Here is a link to a newspaper article on the subject:

Dear madam,

yours finance ministry or RBI people don't know their own significance. So how they can answer?

When I didn't have even two rupees coin in my pocket , i always felt Jesus within my heart .

So, there is no significance in minting cross mark on two rupees coin!
