if you look hard enough, you can find credible info proving a god exists, and you can find credible info proving one doesn't exist...
In the end, you have to believe in what your heart tells you... They don't call it faith because it can be proven...

There is some mathmatical evidence that god may exist but it may not exactly be the God we hear about in religious texts. Most quantum theorists are agnostic like Steven Hawking they beleive that something created the universe but that science has yet to prove it. Scientists call the theories that show evidence of a god "The Intelligent Design Theory" Have you ever read the book "Finding The God Particle" if not check it out at Barnes and Nobel. Many scientist dont have a doubt that something with intelligence created the universe. Since the Universe is so complex in its design. Almost as if it was engineered. mathmatics show that the probability that the big bang created the universe to work exactly like it is now out of serendipity is 1 in 10^4000. This shows that the existance of a God may be highly probable but proof of Gods existence has yet to be verified. (which we will most likely never find out in our lifetime or eons later)

Yes there is proof that GOD exist. It's called looking around. People, animals, and plants had to start somewhere. Scientists believe that man evolved from monkeys; if that's the case then why are there still monkeys, and if man did evolve from monkeys then where did the monkeys come from? It's like looking at a tall building and asking if there was a builder. Of course there was a builder, because if there wasn't there wouldn't be a building. The building wouldn't just magically evolve from a special "building" tree and one day *poof* you've got the Sears Tower. So hopefully this will shine some light upon the subject.

I do not at all understand DNA but I am told by people in whom I have a lot of confidence that the workings of DNA is very strong proof of not only a creator but also a designer.
Science itself offers some proof to this rather boring non scientist. If it is accepted that "energy can not be created" then where did all the energy in the universe come from. If that position is true then "The Big Bang" scientist are always talking about is darn shore nuff proof of something bigger than us.

No proofs. No facts. Just theory. We understand the law of Cause and Effect, for every effect there is a cause, for every cause there is an effect. I believe every thing that exists is an effect and the cause of that which exists is what we call God.
God is not a separate entity that exists independent of the rest of creation but exists as a part of everything. Much like the idea of an automobile exists within the automobile along with the physical materials it is constructed of. Can you really seperate the two?

There's not one scintella of evidence to support the existence of god. Some of the answers above remind me of the movie “The Gods Must Be Crazy,” a native in the Kalahari Desert encounters technology for the first time--in the shape of a Coke bottle. I found this to be very amusing, but I also began to see parallels between his thought process, and that of the modern day Theist. Both are using CAVEMAN LOGIC to explain their world. I fail to see the difference between “hmm, bottle fall from sky, must be gods” and “hmm, trees and butterflies prove the existence of god.”
In both of these cases, someone is simply replacing one unknown for another unknown, but proving nothing!
Not only can God not be proven, but I will also go so far as to say that God can be disproved. It is impossible for something to be all knowing and all good. If you are aware that something bad is going to happen, and you allow it to happen anyway, then you cannot be all good. If God created everything, then he also created evil. It is also impossible to be all-powerful; can God create a rock that even he himself cannot move?
I would have thought that as man became more knowledgeable and logical that he would have pushed aside his caveman beliefs, but it seems to be just the opposite.

Do you believe in an infinite God or an infinite gas? I mean would you rather think that a gas did all this around you and made everything so perfect. Well something never had a begining and i would much rather think it was God than a gas. Look at all the paranormal things that have been witnessed by people such as angels and voices telling them to do things. Do you really think its all in there heads all in there thousands of minds? I dont think so.

If they exist they are always personal.
Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother don

Try to read Kant's ethical works. His Critique of Practical Reason in particular, or just read any summary of his work on ethics. He has eloquently refuted any possible argument that God exists except for what he called an Ethical proof.
If you found his proof compelling, then you got your answer, if not, I am sorry, you will have to count on belief or non-belief as the only guide available.

Wasn't that the problem one of Asimov's robots had? It couldn't believe that man -- of all things - this inferior being had made it?
It saw in the mirror proof for its own creation. Just as we do -- eyes better than any man-made camera. Organs, such as the liver, that scientist had tried to emulate in the physical world -- the liver is a marvel in its ability to handle pollutants, etc -- but the scientist failed to emulate this with their technology. etc@then.some
