It is usually pretty lame. Check the can to see the volume that the gas will spread at, but generally it is for a 10x10x10 room. If you have a home that is 6,000 cubic feet (awesome, by the way) it may look like 50 to sixty cans. Typically, you place one in each room. If you ceilings are very high thats another story. Childhood bug bombing memmories offically shared.

the rule is one fogger per room do not include the closet as a room unless yours is bigger then a small kitchen. Remember no animals in the house and if you have fish cover the tank really really good so no air gets in it. If you wanted to you can take the tank out of the house with half of the water in it then fill the tank a bit more so they can swim a bit. Now what I do is I put one in each of the bedrooms and one in the hallway but I have a HUGE house so its needed. I also put one in my kitchen and that is enough for the house more then enough but I am a freak when it comes to Fleas.

Usually insect foggers come in packets of three and if you read the directions they'll tell you how much of an area they'll cover. One is usually enough, you have a huge area and maybe two will be needed. Is this 6000 cu. feet or 6000 sq. feet? 6000 sq. feet is a massive house.

The fogger you buy will tell you how big of area it will cover. You may or may not need more than one depending on the size of your home.

Don't forget to vacuum all the baseboards after you use them as well as vacuuming the entire house. Cause the bugs hide behind the base boards.

Look on the box, it varies per brand. It will tell you how many per sf you will need to use to achieve results. I think some may even say use one per room.
