There are no fuel shut-off valves in GM vehicles. If you are experiencing a crank but will not start condition, you will have to perform the diagnosis for that. If the car was running fine until you installed gas, the two biggest probabilities of what has happened is you either installed the wrong type of fuel or the fuel pump crapped out on you. To quickly check, remove three plug wires from the coil packs and crank the motor over. All coil towers should be arcing away with strong and consistent spark. If this is good, your ignition system is okay. Next, find the fuel rail adapter port and unscrew the cap. Either install a fuel pressure guage or poke it in like a tire valve, just be gentle and aware that fuel spray might come up. There should be around 55 psi in the line. If there is none, chances are the pump got crapped with the cold gas hitting the warm pump or there is an electrical probllem to it. Good luck.

There are no fuel shutoff valves in a Lumina. GM as a rule does not use them like Ford sometimes does. If your car won't start but cranks over and you suspect its a fuel problem check your fuses first. Look for ECM or Fuel Pump fuses or check your owners manual for a more specific fuse. If that fails have a friend try to start the car while you bang on the bottom of the fuel tank, this is an old trick and if the car starts while doing that it suggests a problem with your fuel pump.

there is not any "close off valve". there's a change maximum likey contained in the trunk(one side panel or the different which will vacation in an twist of destiny to close off the gasoline. in case you probably did not hit a wide bump maximum in all probability which could not the problem. you could examine it besides the indisputable fact that through searching contained in the trunk, you wii see a yellow and black tag that asserts gasoline shutoff change or similar. attain a finger contained in the hollow there and press down on the pink button on proper of the change. If it clicks initiate the vehicle up and stress away. If it would not click then it wasn't tripped and also you want to seem elsewhere.

Most cars dont have gas shut off valves.
Why on earth would you want to do that? If they key is off, the fuel pump is off, and pressure is eventually released in the fuel lines. Gas wont flow without the key on.
