Actually, under the care of Bush, I am now living below the poverty line, somewhere I wasn't six years ago.
It was my choice though, so I'm only kidding. I took the job knowing I would be. But I love it, so it's okay.

Complaints of high foreclosures dont have anything to do with the economy in general. It's the people that took out loans for more than they could pay. Individual responsibility never seems to get any notice in the economy game.
If you live within your means you will probably be OK. I am doing well and it wasn't given to me and I am not a rich business man. Dont own a big screen TV or a million dollar house. Our three family vehicles are all 7 years old.
I am very happy with the economy but that doesn't mean I'll go out and blow a bunch of money and instead will reserve it for times when the economy isn't so good.

Either way on how the economy goes, what matters most is how you actually manage your finances. If expenses are kept constant regardless of "good" times or "bad" times, then things will remain good always. That is a simple logic indeed.
As for myself, following this principle has made me a person who feels that the economy growth is a time for us to benefit from and prepare ourselves in case for an economic downturn in the future.

They must be paying you to be here. Foreclosures are the
highest they've ever been our history.
People who were laid off from GM, Ford & Hersey who
didn't find a job after six months, aren't even counted as
part of the unemployed anymore.
Katrina victims are still uncared for.
Simon Cowell of American Idol even said he didn't know
9 million American children go hungry untill he was made
aware of it.
Now Bush wants to cut 185 thousand from food stamps.
The governer of Oregon tried to live on food stamps for
one week & could barely make it - imagine the people who
are struggling to survive on them for a month.
I'm doing ok, but, because I'm a real nurse, I see people
without health care almost every day - this alone is causing
a crisis in our emergency rooms.
Senior citizens are really getting the shaft - not all of them
have great pensions & trying to buy food, gas & medications
is breaking alot of them. Many of them are cutting their
medications in half, just to get by.
Everything I wrote is really happening in American life.
People need to open their eyes.

Is your 401k a lot larger than before? Could be that you are a war profiteer. Bush is great!

I am a Republican but can honestly say that I prospered more during the Clinton administration than now! Every raise I get is swallowed up by insurance, utilities and gas increases.
