They have a good chance. Along with rats, mice and ants.
Their rapid reproductive cycle enables them to have a very high level of adaptability, as well as giving them strength in numbers.

Cock Roaches have been around for a long time...millions of years...whether that is due to their immunity to Radiation ..i have no clue. Whether they will outlive Humans on this planet... is a question that is best answered by all of Us. Barring some Cosmic Catastrophy like a giant meteoriet hitting the earth..or some type of drastic change in Earths ability to support human life...then i think its safe to say...that they may inherit the earth...but Outlive Us?...i doubt it...insects are one of the oldest life forms on planet Earth. Therefore they have evolved defense mechanisms...geared to survive and thrive. However they will never build a space ship..or go beyond this planet...unless they hitch a ride with Us...and as i see the Future of the Human race not locked to this Planet but venturing out...to other Planets and even other star and planetary systems....in some many words...we are a space bound species...cock roaches...are Earth bound..unless we give them a ride...hehe...

the world is gonna be OK ,
climate change(Global warming) is just going to affect all that lives on the surface
but there are so many other possibilities
here is my collection of ends of the humanity
many predictions are for the years between 2012 and 2020
Nostradamus,the mayas ,Egyptians Jesus ,
and Terrance Mckennas time wave who put the magnetic output of the world into a computor projection that stopped at zero in 2012,this means the globe has stopped and it starts turning
the other way ,the resulting change of currents will turn the planet into a giant washing machine cleaning the surface
then there are the meteors storms (armageddon) ,the gulf of Mexico is the result of one that would have made life exstinct for a while ,this would result in an other ice age because globe gets covered in dust for a few years, blocking out the sun.
then there are more posible natural disasters
Volcanos are coming to life everywhere
the weather has giant storms like hurricanes ,tornados ,tidal waves ,earth quackes
a shift of the earth crust ,would change the position of the poles
under Anrarctica were found fosilized tropical plants indication the pole must have been in a different place then (the mainland atlantis is thought to be under it )
Apart from that , the biggest threat to any species of exstinction is ,when there are too little ,and when there are too many ,so overpopulation is also a threat
and the USA appears to be gunning for a global nuclear conflict .it is most likely that this will get us first ,looking at present politics
the planet will probably survive unless humanities bombs result it to be knocked out of its orbit
so many ends to choose from
if it wasnt so serious it would be rediculous
meanwhile enjoy life .and make the most of it at least we are all in the same boat

I don't know how we will do it, I do know, that the destruction of humans will be brought upon humanity by humans.
In other words, we will destroy ourselves. Cockroaches will outlive humans.
It is unlikely, but possible, that some natural disaster will wipe out the human race.
THe one way to save humanity is to colonize other planets, and multiply to the trillion, not just the billions.

I don't think cockroaches will take over the world or but they may outlive us but, to many people hate them and spray for them. And i agree that it isn't that Christ thing...I think the people on the planet will just fade away well not literally but will die or event something that ends up kill a lot of people and we will just fade away like civilization have before us.

The way we're wrecking the environment , it's hard to say. I think either the upper ozone will give out and we'll fry in cosmic rays, or the global warming thing will cook us slower. Prob'ly the former. If we avoid those there's always the pollution in the air , soil [food] , and water[hormones ,drugs metals that aren't breaking down and we're ingesting in small , cumulative amounts] that will weaken us till we are too weak to fight off disease. Oh, could be a pandemic ["natural" or manmade] So many choices.

Maybe cockroaches exist specifically to outlast humans. If a major disaster kills off humans and most life, cockroaches will be one of the last surviving species. Perhaps they could evolve to form new intelligent life.

Don't worry, I'm not going to tell you that Christ is coming back. I think the success of cockroaches throughout history speaks for itself. They are able to adapt to changing environments. As for us, I think we will be our own demise.
