I did a speech on pop culture in the 90's. My pick for the top 4 most influential movies are, in no particular order:
Titanic - special effects, expensive to make, raked in a lot of money
Forrest Gump - rememerable quotes and characters
Toy Story - 1st movie all computer generated
Clueless - set trends and new slang for the generation
