Very disappointing first day for the Steelers and also I was disappointed with the time taken. There should be a 10 minute limit in the first round and 5 minute limit in the rest of the rounds. Then there needs to be a pay-day limit on how much any team can pay a rookie to be drafted in the first round. It should be a small percentage of what they are willing to give the player. After 3 years then the team can pay the player whatever the player is worth to them at that point. No more of this 20, 30 and 50 million dollar pay days for un-battle tested rookies.

Some interesting curve balls with the Brady Quinn situation and Ginn Jr. going so high. Overall I thought it was a great day. Long, though. It was the longest first round in history.
I thought the Giants had an excellent draft. Ross in the first round filled a need at CB. We've been weak there for a while, Madison is too old, and Webster hasn't lived up to his billing yet. Ross brings big hits to the defense, too... he brings the hammer down when he hits you.
Steve Smith gives us a solid number two receiver. With Amani Toomer aging, he should grow into that spot nicely.
And Jay Alford gives us depth at defensive tackle that we badly need. Our run defense has been terrible. He's smallish at 288, but he's quick.
I would have liked to see us address the offensive line, though. Manning hit the turf way too much last season.

The 1st day of the draft definetly left me scratching my head. How can Brady Quinn fall to 22? How can Ginn Jr. be taken at 9? How was Michael Bush not drafted yet. I would love to say I was pleased with my team's (Titans) day one draft performance, but honestly, I wasn't. In Round 2, they should've taken WR Steve Smith instead of RB Chris Henry (whos he anyways). Also, I think they should've taken RB Michael Buch or RB Antonio Pittman instead of WR Paul Williams in Round 3. But hey, I'm not running the ship there, and theres hopefully good reasons for thr picks they made. I'll have faith.

I am a huge Niners fan so I'll have to scream: GREAT JOB!!!
Willis is this years impact rookie, Staley is going to be our anchor for years to come, and J Hill is a hometown boy who has made good. Hill ran a 4.37 40 at combines!!! Hill also was the best receiver in the Pac-10 this year, even though he was hurt he still made huge plays.
Singletary recognized something in Willis that no one else believed. You'll see what I mean after this year. Put that together with Lawson and Davis last year, acquiring Clements, D Jackson, and Lelie are all great grabs too. Watch out for the Red and Gold, they are BACK BABY!!!!1

It was definitely a surprising draft, those who were projected to go later came up first and quinn dropping to 22nd. I think the biggest surprise was Ted Ginn Jr. at 9th by Miami. Nobody had him going in the first round on any mock draft. As for my fav team, Packers, quite satisfied with their picks althought i believe they should have taken Greg Olsen with the 16th pick, a player with athleticism like that and the speed he has for a TE, he can stretch the field for any team that takes him, unfortunately for the pack, they passed on some depth on an already thin position.

Even if the lions completely skipped theyre 1st rd pick, and fired Matt Millen, they wouldve been heading in the right direction. but we dont live in a world that makes sense, now do we? (that is dropping millen, not skipping rd 1, lol) I guess in the end we did ok though, good reciever and a QB who could turn out to be like favre (drafted 2nd rd too) a diamond in the rough.
Fine, ill star ur question, but u better pick it as best answer! lol

The Patriots, my team, once again acted like the little old lady who hoards copious amounts of worthless crap that has value once every 9 years, and by crap, I mean late round picks. Tom Brady and Marques Colston are late round anomolies, not immediate value picks. Now that they have 8 or 9 picks in the last 4 rounds, they have collected all their spare change and are trying to hit the grand prise on a one dollar scratch ticket. They at least got Meriweather, but that was it.

to long. NFLgot to change time limits maybe 25 minutes for 1st day for each team. if they want to take 20 minutes for their first round pick . it will leave them with 5 minutes to do the rest of the day or reduce time to 10 minutes.
i can't believe it take so long ,with the first 10 picks.
they been preparing for months.
