I was raised going to church and it was common to hug everyone so it isn't to me.

No, I love hugs. I grew up in a family that didn't hug or kiss, so I wanted to change that. When I had my kids, I started to hug everyone alot, and now my kids do too.

Yes, that's too early to get within my comfort zone. I only feel comfortable with a hug from someone I've known for a while. In my opinion, a hug signifies love, trust, sincere compassion, genuine friendship, loyalty, warmth, connection. Although there have been moments when I feel so sad for someone I hardly know, like at a wake, I will give a hug.

I hate it because when someone hugs you its the symbol of love and the only people who hug me hate me so I dont hug people even if I know them or not and if I get hugged I dont put my arms around them

It depends on like who they are etc, if its like family then I'm cool.

A good male friend of my dad or something I guess would be OK.
An older female friend of my mom would be akward tho.

If a guy my age that I just met tried to hug me I wouldnt let him.

I might let a girl tho, but it would still feel akward.

OH yeah. I find it very awkward. I'm one of those people who limited hugging to family, and people who were nearly family.

(*chuckle*) I've gotten to the point I don't turn into a brick, but I'm still not good with it.

That is a little uncomfortable to me. I prefer a handshake. A hug is a little intimate from someone you don't know yet.

I hate being hugged anytime. Strangers aren't going to get that close to me to hug me...

No I have no problem with it. Matter of fact to me it's the closest gesture two people can provide the feeling of love and support.

Should be more of it, maybe everyone would think more of their neighbours.
