I don't even know them all, but the ones I see the most are:
btw - by the way
ppl - people
bf - boyfriend
gf - girlfriend
If you see any others, just ask. If anyone gives you a tough time about it, just ignore them.

As for the good part ... not so sure. Had 4 hours sleep, it's 4.30am now and i am doing a car boot sale at 7.30. So no point in going back to bed. I'll be knackered by midday though.
