Isn't it a lesson taught to the other countries as to what is Determination, Control and Consistancy?
It was really a charm to watch Australians Play yesterday.
When will that day come when we will be able to see such games played by our players?

Please do not sprinkle salt on the wounds by talking of our beloved team. They are still speaking of the ads and not cricket. If this continues, then there is no respite.

Australians have won no doubt, but it was determination and hard hitting rather than control and consistency. It was not a consistent player that won for them, dear friend. It was Adam Gilchrist, who played only ONE good innings in this World Cup, but it was an electrifying knock and it needed a silken grace ton from Sangkara, which unfortunately was not there.

Congratulations for your pulverising display of batting, Gilchrist! Nobody will remember that your famed quartet of Tait and company was clobbered all over the ground. Victory is such a thing!

Yes,the win of the Australians has proven that grit and determination, passion are the only things that u need to win.The Aussies were criticised right from the start of the tournament and there chances were not that high. But look at them. They had great victories over most of the teams and have come back with a resounding win.
On the other hand a team like India is right in square 1 at present. We have to build firm foundatins i.e,pick up the right players, drop all those who have to be dropped irrspective of their experience and select a good, responsible captain .The coach is only secondary.Coz if the players have the passion to play, determination to play and WIN against any team in the world and a mind that is always ready to learn from the GAME ITSELF ,a coach is actually not that important.SO India needs to put its head back on the track to progress. Its high time the BCCI checked in on some suggestions and imporve the dismal state of Indian cricket.

Instil a sense of national pride, weed out corruption in the Cricket Board, restrict the inflow of money into the players' coffers and start preparing for the next World Cup now and not in 2011. You need the players to do the following:
1. Get the players to make a dedicated, decisive, frightening decision to win the World Cup for India
2 They should have a burning desire to perform not only well but at their peak and also understand that they are playing for national honours
3 They should be constantly driven by the dream of representing & playing for the country and bring honours back home.
4 They should be backed up by the best of coaching who can drive home points 1 to 3 above persistently on the players
5 The players should be constantly driven by radical dedication with single minded focus of the job on hand, i.e. winning the world cup for the country.
6 In this exercise players who are selfish, think they are smarter than the team and who are driven only by money should be weeded out.
7 The bunch of players who will peak in four years' time shall be picked up now(say 30 or 35) and these players should be given chance to represent the country on a rotational basis.
8 Professionalism should never be compromised for short term gains in this exercise.

The consistency of Australian Team is quite amazing. Let us hope that Indian Team will learn some lessons from them and come back stronger in the near future..
