I have a land and I want to build a house from brick instead of wood or the other materials.. i am in San Diego. Is it legal in California? or has to be wood?

You can use brick, but the house will need to meet seismic as well as building codes. Discuss your alternatives with an architect. He may recommend a wood frame house with a brick veneer outside.
