We were in x-ray school together and on clinicals we became really close friends. In the Spring semester when we went back to school he was waiting for me and as soon as I walked in my room the phone rings and it was him. I honestly never thought of him as anything more than a friend until one day one of our other classmates said to me that we would make a cute couple. I had to take time to think about it because I was kinda surprised. We had been really flirting with each other but I really thought he probably had some girl back at home. Turns out he didn't. He asked me out on a date and I was so nervous. I changed my clothes like four times. We went to see a movie. The one where Brad Pitt comes to America on a boat as a servant to a young woman. I didn't see much of the movie. He did the old stretch and put his arm around me thing. I was so nervous, I had like a million butterflies in my stomach. He leaned over and kissed my cheek and it felt like a fire started there and spread over me. When our lips met, I instantly knew we were meant to be together. It felt so right it is hard to explain. We have been married 10 years (together 12). It still feels like that when we kiss.

We talked about the future from that day forward, we knew we were going to get married and have a family. The engagement was a formality for everyone (and so I could get a NICE ring!!!!).

We actually met on the internet on a message board. We lived about an hour from each other, I was starting college closer to him, so we met & started a friendship in person. We were friends about 4 years, watched each other go through crap relationships & often joked that we should just get married.

Well, finally it just clicked & after 4 years of friendship we started dating. He'd actually moved further away in that time, so once I graduated college about 5 months later I moved closer to him & we moved in together. We were engaged 3 months later, on my birthday in a park. We were married 6 months later.

He lived around the block from me, we happened to meet each other at the right time. My husband's nephew was dating my sister and his nephew told my sister to give me his uncle's phone number. Little did I know that his nephew had the phone number for me like a month before I actually got it, so he thought I just wasn't going to call, and when i did call, it was just natural, he laid it all on the line on the first phone call. He told me his situation and what he was looking for and it was a breath of fresh air, and I was wanting the same things. It progressed naturally and fast. About 3 months later he proposed at his house, and of course I said yes. Then a year and a half later we got married and it's almost been 7 years now.

I was dating her roommate, and met her that way. A couple months later, I got dumped. The next semester, I ran into her a few times around campus, and we became pretty good friends. I asked her out on a real date before we slipped into the "friends only " zone. About a year later, I started to realize she was the one. Spring semester of our senior year, I bought her a diamond, and planned to propose. I couldn't figure out the perfect way to do it. I thought about taking her to dinner, or on a special date, but I was too nervous to go through with it that way. Finally, I lured her over to my apartment for some made up reason I can't recall, got down on one knee, and popped the question. I do remember it was 3:30pm when I proposed, and I had to go to work at 4 that day. I showed up for work an hour late (wink wink) and got chewed out by my boss. It was worth it though. Hard to believe that was 11 years ago!

I met my husband through a friend that I worked with. She just wanted us to go out on a few dates. 8 months later we were married. I didnt love him when he proposed, but something in my heart told me it was the right thing to do. We have been married for 12 years and going strong.

Met my wife at a bus stop, when I was in
Panama, did not get to know her much as
my job was in Turkey. Five years later I was
able to get back to Panama, and she was
still there single and I met her again the 2nd
day I got back, through a contact from a
friend I knew before, so I knew then it was
meant for us to be togeather again, and we
have been married ever since over 20yrs.

I met my wife at church. What better place? We got engaged on a beautiful June night at a lake, after going for ice cream cones at a quaint shop just up the road. There was only one star in the sky. I looked up at it, pointed it out and said, "My wish is for us to have a wonderful life together. Will you marry me?" After she said yes and we hugged, we looked back up and saw a sky filled with stars.
I heard later that there is a scientific reason for that, but that scene was so magical that I do not want to know what that reason is.

I met my husband on www.qiran.com which is a Muslim marriage website. We didn't get engaged. We talked in the chatroom for a few minutes and then I gave him my YIM and e-mail address and my home phone number and we called imed each other, e-mailed each other, and he called me like 4 times a day for about a week before we decided we wanted to marry. He came to get me October 16th but he got lost so he went home and then October 19th of 06 he finally found the house and we got married in his apartment that same night by one of his friends who writes marriage certificates. I knew he was meant to be my husband and he knew I was meant to be his wife and his mom knew as well because it was from ALLAH(God). He told his mom about me.

She was a friend of my babysitter. I know it sounds lurid, but, really, it's not. I was a single father and my babysitter's friend used to help watch her charges when the sitter had a conflict with the schedule. Long story short, I thought she was very pretty (I still do) so I asked her out one day when I was on my lunch break and she was working at one of the local restaurants. We went to see a movie (Toy Story) and thanks to a natural disaster (it snowed about 6' that night) we holed up someplace close by and talked all night. I was hooked. I can't imagine life without her. It's had its ups and downs, as all marriages do, but I will love her for the rest of my life.
