It would be included in your MS Office Suite. If you don't have MS Office then you probably don't have Excel.

Microsoft Excel is not part of Win XP. It is a part of the Microsoft Office suites. When you pull up your list of "All Programs" from your Start button. You will see it towards the end of the list as a seperate button. There should also be a Microsoft office folder that will have some applications inside it. If you have neither of these, you do not have Excel.
I would suggest looking for OpenOffice. I have it, it works well and opens all Excel files. Plus it is free and you do not have to worry about how to get the funds to pay for the Microsoft programs.

Click the start menu and click run
Tyep in excel
and click ok
If excel doesnt start, then most probably excel is not installed.

Click START, Program files, look for Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Office, if Excel is installed, it should show up. or right-click on the desktop, choose NEW, if Excel is installed, it should have option to create new Excel worksheet.

Search for "excel.exe" on your computer's hard drives.
Go to programs and see if you find it in the list. You may have the microsoft office directory and have to look there, like this:
all programs>microsoft office> excel
Try going to microsoft.office.update.com to see about upgrades available and they can tell if it is on your computer.

You probably don't as it requires extra $$$.
Just get OpenOffice. It's free open source, can read/write MS office files, export to PDF and IMHO is a better product.
