Being in metro Detroit, I am only 20 minutes from downtown Windsor, and I love it. I love their beer, their bars and their women. Canada is just a cool place, I have been around Candad, from Michigans Upper Peninsula, as well as in Sarnia, Toronto, niagra Falls, Tillbury, and so many others. I find that most Canadians are shocked, when they meet an American, who loves the game, and understands it, the way they do. BTW, I know all the words to "Oh Canada", and would never think of booing it.

Because they are fans of the greatest sport in the world and they are not as stressed out as Americans. They can watch Hockey be satisfied and go to sleep!

I don't know about cool, but many I've come across can't stand the fact that hockey is getting popular in the south. Atlanta, Carolina and so on.

Canadien fans or Canadian fans? Canadian fans are generally hospitable, knowledgeable and fun all around. Canadien fans? Not so much.

b/c Canada is the home of hockey so they are more cooler than the us hockey fans or anywhere else. you can't go against the inventors of the sport.

It has to do with their latitude...they are far far away from the equator.
Those Canadians have quite a latitude problem...don't wanna mess with them.
