Absolutely. It is so simple and so easy to control -unless you have some unusual condition.
Regardless whether your cholesterol is good or bad, I still recommend that everyone take a good fish oil and a flax seed oil gel cap every day. About 1200 mgs each. This keeps the arteries clean and healthy.
If your cholesterol is too high, ask your doctor if you can try red rice yeast - in the vitamin section or stores. It will usually do as good a job as expensive meds and, for most, it does not have the side affects. All of these are relatively inexpensive and certainly worth it since the result of a blockage is not too pretty.

Yes, it's a good idea. Because of the way I eat and my family history, mine started getting out of whack in my early thirties. I'm 50 now and have been taking a statin drug for several years. But, It does the job. I do exercise, but to be totally honest, I doubt if I'll ever eat right.

yes so if its high you will have to work on it to lower it by cutting down on certain foods and starting to exercise.
