You must be kidding, of course they can make things worse.
We thought Bush couldn't possibly find a worse Attorney General than Ashcroft.
There is a waiting list of unqualified Republicans waiting to steal us blind.
PS where did the figure 130 people a day dieing under sadaam come from?

Al Sadr knows that when, or if, the Americans leave Iraq, the present Iraqi govt. will collapse, he'll be able to take over and then he will be able to deal with the Sunnis in any manner that he wants to. So, naturally he wants the US out.

Of course he is wrong.
There could be a car bombing every day with dozens of people getting killed, sectarian strife, extrajudicial executions, death squads roaming the streets, etc.
But we all know that is not happening, right?

Ah, for the days of Saddam when ~130 people died EVERY DAY on average, mostly nice & quietly, or at least where their screams for mercy went unheard by anyone who cared.
