Or, to make us stronger people?

Or, something else?

It is a teaching tool. Teaches us to be stronger. How to deal with things..How to adjust to situations. It checks us out on morals and ethics...It does make us appreciate the good things more.It lets us know we are alive..

Successful people see bad experiences as bad feedback- for example, you're coming in for a landing in a plane, the signal tower people will tell you when your on course (these are good experiences, feedback) and when you go farther from your goal, you get negative feedback, (bad experience)
So successful people do learn from the bad experience, it is feedback, and they change course till they get good feedback and are on the right course.
That being said, we attract everything that we experience in our lives... we are responsible for it. So on some level, we created the 'bad' experience.
Learn from the bad feedback, by seeing if it makes you feel good or bad, and continue to do the things that make you feel good, and do not dwell on the things that bring negative feedback.
(the secret is a good movie to watch)

There is no single reason why bad things happen. However we can chose how we react to bad experiences. We can learn from them, we can try to appreciate the positives in our life.We can become stronger and face each new day with courage and hope.A few years ago I had a year that I thought would never end.My father had failing health and we reluctantly placed him in a nursing home and my mom went to live with my sister. My mom and dad both died within 10 days of each other (my dad died on my daughters birthday). My faithful companion dog died.My parents dog ,which I took care of died. ,My daughter's home was destroyed by fire (thankfully no one was hurt). There was no reason for it all except it was all a part of life.Throughout it all I've learned to let my family know I love them and to live each day to the fullest.

Very often, the most unpleasant events in our life are the most enlightening. Life's harsh lessons, are often life's most effective lessons. In regard to an unpleasant experience, you often hear the utterance, "I have learned my lesson".

Life's experiences may also be viewed on a good / bad continuum. The good could not exist without the bad, never mind being appreciated. If you were not able to sense the cold, you wouldn't be able to sense the warmth. Satiety, could not exist without hunger.

pretty much what you said. we have bad experiences for a lot of reasons. it could be that the timing is bad, it isn't fate, to strengthen our will power, to learn for the future, to deepen our faith in the good experiences, and, like you said, appreciate those good experiences

It is called life.
You have to take the good with the bad, learn not to dwell on the bad, savour the good and carry on with life the best way you can

People have bad experience because it is part of life, part of growing up. part of learning from it and it happens in our journey of life, because we are faced with different kinds of people and different circumstances as well...when there is good there is bad when there up ther is down, when there is joy there sorrow.. the balance of life...take care..
