She's acting like that because she's immature. It happens all of the time where after a break up a girl will throw you several mixed messages to screw with you. She tricks you, she pretends there's a special bond, she talks bad about you, and she calls you up and wants private conversations. Look her straight in the face and punch her in the mouth. LOL, ok don't do that but you should really just stay AWAY. I had that same thing happen to me and believe me. You do not want to be at, when it hit rock bottom for me. It can excite very fast.

As long as they keep on talking. I might not be interested and find it boring, but I still listen and act interested. I probably have been that one person before who couldn't stop talking about one subject. I would hope someone would put up with me, so that is why I put up with everyone elses long stories.
Instead of acting uninterested, I do try and nonchalantly change the subject. I usually start a new topic that somehow branches off of their story so that they do not feel like I have completely lost interest in their story.

I can act interested about 30 minutes. I used to be able to make it an hour, but I'm losing my tolerance.

37.887 seconds before the doze off button in my brain is activated. I try an allow for significant forewarning of this inevitable happenstance, but sometimes they just don't get it! Oh, well zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
