The fools drafted ted ginn, Jr. and John Beck. They could have had Brady Quinn and Dwayne Jarrett. They also took Lorenzo Booker, who i like, over Michael Bush, injured but sick at football. DUMB

sure, quinn's overrated, but better than Beck. And Ginn,Jr. with the 9th pick, no way he deserves to go that high. He cant get off the press.

The Dolphins clearly needed a quarterback--something they haven't had since Marino retired. It amazes me that they had the chance to pick up one of the best quarterbacks in the draft, and opted not to do so.

The team needs a lot, though. They have so many needs on offense, but hopefully Beck will prove a good acquisition for the team. It's been a struggle for the Dolphins since Don Shula was pushed out.

A year ago, people were looking at the Bears and wondering what they were smoking during the draft when they took Manning and Hester. What did they get? A starting safety and the best return man in the NFL. And Hester doesn't even have a real position to play other than returner.

The Dolphins draft is very possibly similar. Field position is the name of the game, and the stud returner can make a huge difference. At least Ginn knows how to play receiver. I'm not sure that Hester, even after a year in the NFL, has yet to figure out how to play DB.

The Dolphins have too much money tied up at QB right now. None of their veteran QB's are spectacular at this point. But spending No. 9 money on Quinn may not have been their preference. It appears that their QB choice for the future was Beck, because he might have been around for a while after that. He could have dropped as far as Stanford's QB, the end of the 3rd round.

Booker will be a nice compliment to Brown and Williams big, bruising styles. He'll be a nice change of pace back.

Interesting choices, to say the least. Time will tell if Cam Cameron has a clue; his last head coaching job at Indiana wasn't too spectacular.

I am not so sure that Quinn will be all that in the professional game. I think he was over rated big time and he will not be playing the Army, Navy, and Air Force this season. Beck is a bit old for a rookie but he should be every bit as good as Quinn who I think will be a major disappointment for the Browns. Quinn already cost the Browns a first round selection in next years draft, the Browns should have just waited because nobody at the end of the first round was going to draft Quinn anyways. Idiot drafting.

Back to Miami, I do think they could have gotten a better player than Tedd Ginn Jr. He is really fast but a little small and will have a tough time getting off jams. He can fly though no doubt, nearly as fast as Calvin Johnson. Give him time to heal off of his injury and he could be a good pick up but me myself I would have gone after Amobi Okoye or Leon Hall to infuse some young talent into an aging defense.

OP I was thinking the same exact thing, Brady Quinn and Dwayne Jarrett instead of John Beck and Ted Ginn Jr. Not only would Dwayne Jarrett have done the same thing they drafted Ted for (To loosen up the double coverage on chambers) He doesn't have a bad Knee, this guy blows that surgically repaired knee and he's done.

Brady Quinn isn't overrated, and I can't wait to see him against the dolphins at cleveland, Although i'm a dolphins fans I hope Quinn has a fantastic game to remind them of the mistake they made with their draft picks (again) I mean COME ON we traded Wes Welker to new england for the draft pick which gave us John Beck (oh emm gee, uh no)

Every newspaper in Miami basically said, if Brady Quinn was on the board and it was the Dolphins on the clock, it would be a NO BRAINER, I can't wait to see the paper tommorow.

Anyone remember Larry Izzo? Yeah Good Game Dolphins................

Could have something to do with the fact that Jarrett ran a 4.67 40. Can you say SLOW? Considering Ginn ran a sub 4.3. And that fact that a surgically repaired knee is stronger than it was before? I still don't see why Jarrett is the better WR? Ginn is stronger and faster. As far as the QB, obviously Miami didn't think Quinn was very good which I agree. He couldn't manage a win over a ranked team last season, only to get blownout in a bowl game to where his school hasn't won a bowl game in 14 years

I agree and I think parrot girls answer (above) is the funniest. I'm so sad today. Even if Quinn wasn't picked (which I think he should have) there is nothing that Ginn brings that couldn't have been found later in the draft. I can't help but feel that for the #9 pick we should have gotten more. We should have gotten a top 10 player and we didn't. Doing so would have opened up what we got later in the draft and those would have been subsequently better picks as well. Ugghh! I'm so frustrated.

There must be a reason Quinn fell so much in the draft. Also, the dolphins have a good QB in culpepper who had an off season. Its not smart to take a chance on an injured player such as Bush.
