The Earth would heat up after the asteroid hit. After a while, once all that debris is kicked up into the air, temperatures will drop until it all settles. Then the Earth will come back to its original state of being globally warm because of the amount of CO2 still in the atmosphere. Our best chance to stop global warming is to lower our CO and CO2 output.

That's like asking if jumping in a lava pit would get rid of a fever...

Global warming is just as natural as Global cooling.

It has happened throughout the centuries.

in the 80's scientist predicted an Ice Age.

Where did you get that "asteroid hitting earth in 2035" from? I mean lol.

Man made polution is bad, but that's somthing different from global warming...

well if you get all your info from Al Gore, inventor of the internet, you may disagree...

but its true...

Carbon dioxide is food for plants, they feed on it and sunlight.... this makes oxygen. This helps the planet.

So far this year has been pretty cool... the coolest of this century...

Im sure that's Global warmings fault too...

lol

Voila! an amazing subject remember wherein person-friendly floor between 2 very countless issues must be chanced on. despite in case you suspect in worldwide Warming or no longer the certainty nevertheless remains temperatures are increasing and the polar ice caps are melting. you will ought to blind or stay decrease than a rock to no longer word those issues. the main important reason i think of that a lot of people positioned this off as fiction is by using the fact in the event that they agree and shop on with technology this time it makes them look undesirable for putting different issues off that technology has additionally shown certainty (evolution, massive bang theory, etc.). they do no longer wanna component with it now to stay away from finding undesirable interior the long-term that's easy BS. that is wintry climate right here in Florida and we are dealing with 80 degree climate! I advise it somewhat is commonly warm, no lie, yet wintry climate is commonly the time the place it drops to a minimum of 60. Why people won't be able to place their ideals aside to realize our planet is in severe complication is previous me. the two way Christianity has continually finished the different of what that is supposedly meant to do....

No! The impact of an asteriod would add a tremendous amount of energy to the earth, probably melting hundreds of cubic miles of rock. This could only result in huge warming, quite possibly enough to kill most, or all, life on earth..

It might just reverse everything. Now would that mean we would have to walk backwards. And yes, if it is big enough it could end all life, once again on this planet, I wonder what would develop next, and would they be even more advanced than we are.

it'll probably stop it alright- we'll no longer be there to accelerate the warming process after it impacts and blows the living crap out of this planet. end of discussion, problem solved!

Why would it matter, if it's anything like the one that killed the Dinosaurs, we'llbe dead. So who'd care what happened after that?

Also, it all depends on how big it is, and where it hits.
