I'm 21, 5'3,small build and 12 days ago I had 34G breasts. I had a Breast Reduction and am now a perfect 34DD.
Ten minutes after my operation when I woke up I was eccstatic about my new boobs!!! It's the best thing I have ever done. And for me, even though I am a bit of a sook, I really did not have pain at all :) I must also say that the lack of pain was due to having a fantastic, caring and very talented Plastic Surgeon. I had the Le Jour technique, which is less incisions and scarring and quicker recovery.
I paid AU $11,000 dollars, and have already gotten back $900 from Medicare and then will get back another $2000 from Health Tax. Although honestly the money spent is worth it. I had 500 grams of solid breast tissue removed from each breast along with liposuction from the sides of each breast. I can now stand up tall and I feel like I have so so much energy- I actually can't wait till I am healed enough to begin jogging. So if you have back, neck and shoulder pain or even if you simply want it done so that you fit into clothes better then go for it.
I came across this website during my research:
www.locateadoc.com
There are hundreds of before and after pics of breast reductions, there are animated slide shows of all the different incision techniques and there are question sections.

I hope this helps you with your decision

*Shivaa- I lost 10 kilograms 15 months ago and my bust size grew from a 34E to a 34G- my breasts are made of solid breast tissue and not fatty tissue, depending on what they are made up of depends on whether you can lose weight or not from your breasts

When I was in the Navy, one of my troops showed me a picture of her taken a few years before. She stood 5', and looked like Dolly Parton. She had breast reduction surgery. She was having back pains, shoulder pains. She lifted her shirt and bottom of her bra and you could barely see a light pink scar under her breast. (Yes, we were that close as friends...long story.) She is a beautiful gal and since the surgery, she was a much happier one, too.
Talk to a surgeon about a breast reduction. Like Dawn, I think you'll be much happier.
One day we had a party at the home of one of my other troops, and I noticed Dawn and a large breasted neighbor in the corner talking. That summer, Tina (the neighbor) was over in her bathing suit and something just didn't look right. She soon said, "I have to take this thing off. My stitches are itching like crazy." Then it dawned on me (pardon the pun) that she, too, had breast reduction. Those little puppies were standing proud.
Good luck!

I had a breast reduction in Feb 2006 and LOVE IT. I do not regret it one bit.

You are off work for two weeks and on light duty for at least another two weeks depending on how well you are recovering. The surgery is about three hours long. It could be either in a hospital (like mine was) or at their office.

Final size takes a year to get to, so PATIENCE is the key word with recovering from this surgery. Scars take at least a year to fade, do not put them in the sunlight for at least a year or they will turn permanently red! Nipple sensation may take up to a year to come back as well (Mine came back around 3 months).

Make sure you talk to at least THREE surgeons covered under you medical insurance before choosing someone. Check their license, as well as looking at before and after pictures. Google them.

I would do this again in a heartbeat.

This site helped me out a LOT before and after surgery, there is a huge Breast Reduction section...

People talk about losing weight and losing in the breast size. I did not lose any in my breasts while I was losing weight, though I have heard of people losing and gaining a cup size while working out and losing weight. It really all depends on how much fatty tissue versus dense breast tissue is in your breasts...

All you have to do is exercise and do have some control over your diet.Even though in some cases there is a gene problem and some people do put on weight on the chest as some on the hip / waste line. wherein you should and must have control over your diet and have a regime for exercise for that particular part / portion of the body .
The next best thing is surgery, which is not only costly but risky too. hence not suggested/ recommended.
I hope your question is answered.
Wishing you all the success in fast reduction and having a beautiful body of your choice. Bye and God Bless you.

Well, Shakespeare said it best," To thine own self to be true." Are comfortable with your breasts, are they causing you health problems such as skoulder or back problems? These are examples of questions you should be asking yourself before you consider any type of surgery. This would apply to any woman think about enlarging their breasts also.

Good Luck.
