Its ph is a little above 7.0, and the temp is around 74F. It is a tropical freshwater.

I've really pondered on Zebra Danios for a awhile, but what is everybodies opinion (that are easy to take care of). Plz not a goldfish. I've heard cherry barbs, dwarf gouramis, corys, killifish, cloud minnows, platies are easy to care for, but would they be okay with my 8 serape?

I like this link: http://www.elmersaquarium.com/h701elmers_freshwater_handbook.htm for choosing fish that are compatible with others (of course, there are never any guarantees; fish can have individual personalities).

Serapes can go with fish from communities 3-5. Just choose the species and number according to your tank size and if the species are schooling or solitary.

You can look up the individual species by clicking on their name. Those rated "A" or "AA" are the easiest to care for.

Danios are OK, but they'd be better in a 30" wide tank. I'd look into some other peaceful small tetras. I'd say Tiger Barbs might be OK if this crew is a little nippy, some Serpaes are, some are not.
Cory cats are nice. Get 4+ of the same and make sure they have a little cave or rock pile to retreat to.

Serpae can get really nippy at times, and your right the danios would work well. Also other types of tetras, like cardinals or skirt tetras. Add some Corys and maybe even a group of small loaches or freshwater shrimp.

If you have algae and don't want a large pleco, try getting Nerite Snails, they do not reproduce in freshwater.

Neon tetras are nice especially if you have a good amount of them. Typically they swim together and when the light shines on them its very pretty. Red Fin sharks are nice too. Most people think they are aggressive but they are more chill fish that hide. Silver dollar fish are really cool too.
