Yes you can and no it won't crack. These tanks are built strong. The weight of the rocks is safe, but a falling rock will obviously crack the tank, so just don't create a tall and unstable rock formation. I keep rock dwelling species and the amount of rocks I use would make some people who don't believe the tank can handle it very nervous - yet it's worked for me for years without issues.

If you are worried about the weight eventually cracking the bottom glass, cut a piece of plexi-glass so it fits reasonably well (it doesn't have to fit the hex shape) and put in the bottom of your tank under the gravel to spread the weight of the rocks out over more of the bottom area of the tank. Make sure there is not anything like a pieceof gravel under the plexi-glass or you could end up with a crack as all the weight will be put on that area. Just wipe the bottom out well and place the plexi-glass in when it is dry.

A Flower Horn of any length is a bad fish for something decrease than a 55 gallon tank. those are beasts, and whilst they start transforming into, you will understand why they choose a huge tank. regrettably, lively fish do very poorly in small tanks for obtrusive reasons. appropriate to the main lively i could even advise is a small team of Cherry Barbs. they won't conceal, and that they are very relaxing to observe as they shop on with one yet another out and in of flowers. somewhat, all Tetras are out, as they choose colleges, in comparison to Cherry Barbs, that have a tendency to be nice in a small team (3-4). in case you will discover them, some Pygmy Cories could artwork suitable too, and are beautiful little fish.

That should be no problem what so ever. Totally safe. I stack tanks full of rocks all the time and never had a problem.
