Patience by Guns n Roses.
"Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you
I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think about you every day now
Was a time when I wasn't sure
But you set my mind at ease
There is no doubt
You're in my heart now.."
My husband of 11 years actually sang this to me when he was still courting me in front of more than 100 people during a christmas party where i worked that time!
lol... then he proposed to me at that same moment! how could i resist? i knew he was the shy type but i dont know where he got all the strength to overcome his fear just to tell me he loves me. Up to this day, he still surprises me from time to time!

"Best Day Until Tomorrow" by the Real McKenzies
Enjoy what ya got, not what you have not
'tis a weak heart lamenting with sorrow
when the days seem cursed, it could always be worse
fight depression with sword and arrow
when the zeppelinous clouds of trouble abound
and thunder is clapping and lightning strikes ground
just when yer thinking this may be your last
throw a lash 'round the mast, hold fast!
when the world ain't right, and it smithes ya with strife
you can now buckle down, it's a test they call life
very soon you will see what kind of animal you'd be
taking the bite outta life
when they're testing the gallows, yer hung like a dog
or they're marching us out to a firing squad
we just smile and recall all the good times we had
it's the best 'til tomorrow
it's the best day 'til tomorrow
no considering surrender when yer down in the dregs
if you look down and notice you still have your legs
so stand up and fight, you just might seize the day
it's the best day 'til tomorrow!

Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day
Such a beautiful song, with a different meaning for every person, some people, it helps them get through the lose of a Father, or a Friend, someone very dear to them. To others it means, just whatever bad thing that is happening in their life, however sad or angry they are, it shows them that it will pass and they life will get better eventually.

Cast No Shadow by Oasis
Here's throught for everyman
who tries to understand what is in his hand
he walks along the open road of love and life
surviving if he can
Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say
chained to all the places that he never wished to stay
bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say
as he faced the sun he cast no shadow
As they took his soul they stole his pride
As they took his soul they stole his pride
As they took his soul they stole his pride
As he faced the sun he cast no shadow
I think every man can relate to this song on some level

Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen.
That was my theme song to getting out of my small hometown for good. Even though I returned about 3 or 4 times. Ooops!

Mad World, by Gary Jules.
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

Fort Minor- 'Where'd You Go'
This song really means a lot to me because it captures the heartache of living without the person you really love, whether it be because they are off at war, they left you, or they died. It's such a sad song, but at the same time, it's inspirational and catchy.
