There were many polytheistic relgions. Zoroastrianism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrianism ) was a popular one.

One of the predominant religions was the worship of rocks which were reputed to contain spirits.
This is still evident in Islam during the Hadj when the Qaaba is the centre of devotion

In Arabia, it was largely animist and Jewish. As the Arab armies expanded into what used to be the Roman Empire (everything outside Arabia) the converts were largely Christian, which was the Roman state religion at the time.

Paganism, (they had a god 4 each tribe and the special ones were put in Kabbah, and also the total of their "gods" were 360).
Also Zoroastrianism was there and many people used to worship sun.

Various plytheistic religions. I don't know the names but there were several and it would seem that idol worship was involved.

There wasnt one there were many some that we know about were Egypt and its gods other than that we are not sure all we know is that there were multiple
