The Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret Atwood.

That was the last book I read, for the third time. The story develops in a future society, which is a result of the current abuse of commodities, goods, medicines and other things we now enjoy. I don't want to tell you much, because it's a great story, gripping and intelligent; each time I've read it once more, I've discovered new things and enjoyed it even more. And it's one of those novels you can't put aways, you just need to continue reading and know what will happen in the next page. Highly recommendable.

It's similar to Orwell's 1984 - so you have a reference of the kind of reading it is.

Hope you like it!!! : )

Devil in the White City.
It's researched as fully as Michael Crichton puts his novels together. It's the story of the building of the World's Fair in Chicago with a serial killer pteying on young women at the same time.
I think it's categorized as historical fiction - it's based on real people and events, but doesn't feel like you're reading a dry history book! I found it to be an incredible page-turner.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is the best book!! It's a real twist on the typical romance story and its got action in it too. There is also a sequel called New Moon and the third book Eclipse is coming out in August. Just about everybody would really like this book!

I just read Nothing Like the Sun by Anthony Burgess and really enjoyed it. It is a fictional account of Shakespeare's life. Also, I'm currently rereading Pride and Prejudice for the millionth time. If you've never read it, it's excellent.

Triumph of Truth (biography of Martin Luther) The man was amazing. He could have retreated his positions many times in order to preserve his life. However, he chose to live the Gospel and accept death if needed.
It is nonFiction, however it reads like a novel. You'll learn alot about wester civ and the corrupted power of the then Roman Catholic Church.

I read 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' by Oscar Wilde [and it's 'Picture', not 'Portrait'] years ago, yet it still sticks in my head. If you enjoy science-fiction, 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' by Douglas Adams. ...IF you haven't seem the movie the media oh-so gracefully butchered this literary work with. If you enjoy fantasy, 'The Mists of Avalon' by Marion Zimmer Bradley and/or 'The Once and Future King' by T.H. White.

Ahhhhh....Elmore "Get Shorty" Leonard. The final stunning e book I examine became The existence of Pi by using Yann Martel (that's probably as far faraway from a Leonard novel as one ought to get, yet, howdy, it became a breathtakingly pleasing examine!) in case you like Leonard, look into Carl Hiaasen who writes in the same way (Hiaasen's satiric e book "Strip Tease" became made right into a action picture a whilst returned starring Demi Moore, Ving Rames and Burt Reynolds, between others). slapstick comedian (and previous Hiaasen colleague whilst they the two labored on the Miami usher in) Dave Barry's e book enormous hassle became additionally made right into a hysterical action picture.
