As it's been said, every woman and every pregnancy is difference. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and close to six feet tall. I've only gained about ten pounds. It's not that I'm not eating, I think it's WHAT I eat. I'm vegan (if you didn't get it from the name) and I stick with mostly whole foods or as whole as possible. For example, today, I had Cheerios for breakfast with soy milk; Lunch, tofu on whole wheat (with natural sugars in the bread) and mustard and ketchup; Dinner, brown rice with organic black beans with spices, steamed veggies. For a snack, air popped popcorn with SmartBalance (all natural oils) spread. I also had some sugar free dark chocolate.
Yet, those who are eating more junk might be gaining more. When clothed, I'm not even showing yet, I just look curvy. I'm still wearing regular clothes.
This is me and my pregnancy. The next one might be different. (This has been such and easy pregnancy that I'm afraid to have another one. I've had periods that have been worse than this, it seems.)

The first time I gained about 60 pounds but 30 of it was water weight. I had preeclampsia so that didn't help. This time I have gained 15, so far. I lost all of my previous baby weight but 10 pounds, was 125 before pregnancy.

your height doesn't ness. detemine weight gain during a pregnancy. Every woman is different. It is normal for any woman to gain 35-40 puonds during pregnancy just from the fluids and the baby she is carrying inside her, nevermind any extra weight gain caused from eatting more. There is just no way to determine who will gain or lose what amount or in what amont of time.

I was 5'7" 117 pounds when I got pregnant with my first (21 years old). I weighed 178 the week before she was born. When she was 2, I was back down to 130, but I think I was down well before that, that's just when I started paying attention to it again.
