They are the single most influential group in rock history. Period. Some say Zeppelin - but they influenced Zeppelin. Even if you don't like the Beatles, take a poll of music artists and they will be cited as an influence over any other person or group in the history of rock. The pioneers recording and mixing methods, broke down barriers between pop and classical (listen to the harpsichord in "All my Life,"), and introduced "world music" to the West ("Norweigian Wood" is the first pop song to feature a sitar).
Their songs are studied at Juliard music school...
This list goes on and on.

No. When you consider how many of their songs are familiar, even today, and that their careers didn't end even after the band broke up, I don't think they were overrated. They weren't stagnant; their songwriting evolved to keep pace with the times (at the time, of course). The guys had talent.

Sometimes...I guarantee if all the members were still alive and still touring, they wouldn't be as popular. The fact that they broke up when they were still on top, has given them legendary status and staying power. Take a hint Rolling Stones.

absolutely not there still to this day isnt a band that was as creative and talented but screw mcartney he sued all the other beatles.

yes other bands such as the rolling stones never got credit like the beatles .. why is that??? the stones where damn good ..but the beatles was kinda fruity music .. then they got into the late 60s with sarg peppers hearts band acid FREAK OUT music that just sucked assss .. i think they where overrated

Absolutely, they are overrated still to this day!
