I might be for a law that said you get a moving violation if your music can be heard clearly by others. I think it creates conflict and cities should address it. I like music, but I see a Rock vs. Rap vs. Indian music vs. Latin music escalation.

Would you support a ban on loud car stereos? Basically if the cop hears your music....your ticketted?

The problem with this is the same as many other "minor" violations of the law, and that is enforcement. I've driven through many neighborhoods that had a noise ordinance, but people were still blaring their stereos.

It's just a matter of common courtesy, ya know? I personally love loud music, but I turn it down to a reasonable level if I am near other cars or at a stop light.

A great way enforce this would be to find a way to automatically take a picture of cars that were "vibrating" too loudly. In Germany they have cameras that automatically take a picture of your license plate if you speed past the camera, and then you get a ticket in the mail.

If a way could be found to do that with sound waves, that would help a lot!

rather loud. I open the sunroof for optimal effect. That Bose sound equipment they put in the Infinity FX is somewhat magnificent! once I get to be 60, i'm gonna blast the rock and roll so human beings will think of i'm deaf. I probably would be by using then! permit's see, sixteen years to pass!

In our city, you CAN get a ticket. Loud music or noise from anywhere is a violation of the noise ordinance.
