Totally. I believe that most of the time, good and evil are not universal, but instead totally change depending on the situation.

It's impossible for me to think of an act or person that is absolutely good or absolutely evil.

There has to be a grey to good and evil. There are not always two choices in life: one being the right one, and the other being wrong. There is always something to be lost by picking one choice over others (the word for that is opporotunity costs). You may make a choice that benefits one group, but hurts another. You would have no completely good choice. Sometimes, you just have to choose the one that seems like it would probably hurt the least in the long run. That is where the phrase, "One must always choose the lesser of two evils," comes into play.
There are a few times (though seemingly rare or insignificant) when a person can choose either a good choice or an evil choice (i.e. you are hungry, but are low on money. You can wait for dinner, or you can steal some food). The good choice is sometimes easily detectable, and at other times, it is not. The thing is, one must always choose what he/she thinks is in the best interest of himself as well as others (both need to be in balance with eachother as much as possible).

Good and evil, black and white, up and down, left and right - each of these things ONLY exist as compared to their opposites.

Good and evil both are determined only by the perception of the individual who is observing them.

Some religions consider adultery to be a sin, while others belief systems allow a person to have multiple spouses.

Is the person who believes in multiple spouses an evil sinner, even though that practice is considered normal for his culture?

No, there is no gray area to good and evil. YOU are the only person who can judge if something is good or evil, and even then, you are only making that judgment by using your present knowledge and experience.

I've lost track... did I answer the question?? ;)~

We all live in the gray area, tugged by good from the right and evil from the left. Sometimes we drift to one side, the next time to the other.

--No it is either good or evil for 2 things cannot occupy the same place at the same time! AND because the 2 qualities you mentioned are too far apart.

--FOR INSTANCE , please note:

(Psalm 19:12) “12 Mistakes—who can discern? From concealed sins pronounce me innocent. . .”
--NOW there is a gray area in that we could be hiding such sins because of hypocrisy OR because of fear!

****If by fear then there definitely could be a gray area with mistakes!

--In the fiction story of Dr. Jekyell he could not be Mr. Hyde at the same time--the lattitude was too great!

--There are degrees of evil as is stated at Gen. --Please note how God ranked the Evil in Sodom & Gommorah:
(Genesis 18:20-21) “20 Consequently Jehovah said: “The cry of complaint about Sod´om and Go·mor´rah, yes, it is loud, and their sin, yes, it is very heavy. 21 I am quite determined to go down that I may see whether they act altogether according to the outcry over it that has come to me, and, if not, I can get to know it.. . .”

--DID YOU NOTE "very heavy sin"--which indeed it was!
--TO PROVE that Jehovah God took very serious action by destroying all the Sodomites!

--WHEN KING DAVID committed adultery with Bathsheba , David indeed was punished directly and his actions caused heartache throughout the rest of his life.
***But God spared him from execution! Why because he repented and showed that the rest of his life!
--So that evil was not the same as that of the Sodomites, who would not change!

the whole world is made up for grey areas. a mixture of colours. grey is both black and white. every single person has the ability to be good and evil it's all inside of us weather we want to admit it or not. human is everything, you get to choose the human you are and the person you want to become.

In some cases, perhaps. For the most part, however, our actions are clearly defined as good or evil by our intentions and whether they help or hurt other people.
