That's a real maybe question. IF the discus say well fed and IF the guppies have some hiding places and IF the discus don't decide to eat them just for something to do, then sure, they will do fine together. Personally though I think eventually you would start losing guppies.

Guppies don't seem to live very long with cichlids in the tank :)

The water will be drastically wrong for one specie or the other. The question shows that you need to do more research on both groups.
