yes and no!
If they draw votes away from the Republicans, of course.
If the take away from the Democrats like that Purdue looking guy, we end up with a president who would have never been elected!
The issue with 3rd parties is that many are one issue, fringe parties who don't stand a chance!

We should run our political system like our economy. Competition.
Right now, we have a two member oligopoly in politics. The two parties do a lot of things to keep others out of the race.
Hopefully the internet will change this. Maybe some of the third parties will gain notoriety. Unfortunately, they need to get a certain amount of support before they can even get on the ballot and receive federal funds.
I want to see more competition. I want to see other candidates. I want to see fresh faces and ideas.

Ross Perot could have won as an independent in '92 if he hadn't dropped out of the race (He was leading in all polls).
There was something about threats from the Bush family, if I recall. (I believe it, too)
So, anyway, a third party could catch on.

Absolutely but the Republican an Democratic parties do not have a a monopoly on extremists. that is what one needs to fight. Extreme liberalism and conservatism.

I do, yes. There's nothing in the Constitution about this being a two party system.
