It all depends on your state.

Normally a person is allowed to protect their property, especially their home.

I n Texas if a person breaks into your house then you have the right to shoot to kill. If you do kill the intruder(s) then you won't even be charged with a crime. In TEXAS a person's home is their castle.

In Alaska you have to wait for the person to get 6' inside before you can kill them. Otherwise they might be trying to come in out of the cold.

In New York City it is very hard to get a gun permit and the gun laws are strict. So if a criminal breaks into your house you have the ability to call 911 and nag them viciously. I am sure there are similar laws in California.

Absolutely. However, some states say you have a "duty to retreat' and can only use lethal force if you cannot retreat. Even if it were illegal, there's an old saying that goes, "it's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6."

Blow a whistle and penalize them 15 yards for illegal formation. When they back up I'd lock the door, get my guns, and call the cops!

Well, a revolver holds 6 rounds, but I like automatics better, they can hold a considerable amount more :)

It doesn't matter how many they are. It could be just one guy. If you feel your endanger you can do whatever to protect yourself.
