Our sun is our very own star of our solar system. The stars you see in space are actually like the sun in our solar system, but are considered stars, just like you Sun. The sun has always been a star, and will always be. Theirs nothing special about the sun, other than it is the closest star to our solar system.

Our sun is one of billions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy.
When you ask how, I'm not sure what you mean.
Do mean how did it become a star? Basically a cloud of dust and gas starting rotating in space, and gravity pulled most of the disk of the cloud to the centre. Once there was enough material, it began nuclear fusion to overcome the pressure of gravity - once that happened it started to shine like a star.
If you mean something else when you ask how, then you will have to explain what you mean.
There are tons of books and websites that go into a lot more detail.
astronomy.com is probably a good one for a beginner.

Yes. Stars are just suns that are about a million times farther away. More than a million times farther in most cases. The closest star is almost 300,000 times farther away from Earth than the Sun is.

The sun is a star yes. The only reason we call it the sun is because it is the closest one to us (e.g. billions of planets but most of us only know the names of the first 8!). Other stars have names we gave them but you are probably unaware of them.
There's no 'how' about it - a star is a huge ball of energy (that's a classification we made ourselves) and can look very different depending on it's size and age.

yes it is a star becuase a star is a massive ball of plasma, which the sun is. Also it produces energy through nuclear fusion.

Yes. It is a giant ball of gas that has enough gravity to fuse Hydrogen molecules in its core. Thus, it is a star.
