Thats just a figure out speech.
Finding you a husband will not solve all your problems, but it will solve 1 big 1 , ..u dont have a good husband!
If you had a husband like my Daddy you would have problems, but you would have more energy to solve them, and it would be easier to solve them, because your husband would help you.
You need a man to share the joys of life with, that is what makes life living!
Your Mother needs to find a husband for you before you are too old. She should be DOING something, not just thinking about it!

You don't indicate what your problems are. Generally, sharing your life with someone reduces your stress and makes problem solving easier. Of course, if you share your life with the wrong person, well, that doesn't really help. I understand your mother's viewpoint and sometimes I think that is mine as well. My sister, the ultrafeminist, is married to her second husband. Although she still has problems (she is bipolar) and new problems, she clearly can handle them better with a supportive partner than without. BTW, I couldn't ask for a better BIL, so I think she made a great choice! The first guy was a jerk. So, rather than foisting her problems on hubby, together they work through things and often find alternatives.

Gee I wonder if she has been talking to my mother or they are friends, because mine is doing the same thing. Finding a husband will not solve all your problems in fact they only just begin.

Some people are of a notion that a woman isn't "complete" without a man.
I like to think that a life partner compliments but doesn;t overwhelm and it may not be waht you want or need

Because she wants you to be happy. And sometimes having that extra someone kinda does solve all those problems of lonleiness, and self-esteem, and self-worth. Ain't nothin like a man tellin you, damn girl, ya sexy!!!!
