I think if administered properly, there are enough gun control laws, we don't need more.
The only improvement I can think of is making the penalty for using a firearm in a crime more severe, and take away the juvenile protection and treat all of them as adults when arrested for illegal possession or use, as they are just as deadly as an adult.
If an adult gets 20 years hard time for infractions, then should the minor get same sentence.

The old tired rhetoric that pertinent gun laws are already in place and it is an enforcement issue doesn't ring quite true. I think there should be more controls on owning a gun. Everybody is certainly entitled to own a gun for self protection, but for the intentional killing of living things, including game, to my mind is arrogant and cruel inasmuch as we wear species blinders. It is no scientific or biological mystery that a deer, for example, feels pain. Why would anybody cause pain in another living thing, for the "fun" of it? I know this is not a popular point of view, but I have yet to hear a good reason why killing for sport is morally just. I know some distant relations in Alabama that actually do hunt deer for the venison, so I suppose that's a valid justification. But really, that is the exception, not the rule. If those kinds of firearms could be prohibited, it would at least put a small dent in the proliferation of deadly weapons on the market. As for owning a handgun for protection or self-defense, the statistic irony is that those in-home guns mostly end up being used to settle a domestic dispute. There is no good answer to this question. If some people were allowed to carry a concealed weaon at Virginia Tech, the shooter would not have been as effective as he was. The question then becomes, WHO is entitled to carry a concealed weapon. My best answer is that there might be a type of person that is qualified to walk around armed. Just not everybody.

Current gun restriction laws only stop the good citizens from carrying guns. As you can see that on the West Virginia campus it is a gun-free zone, and it sure didn't stop the criminal from shooting up people. What it did stop was the good citizen form carrying and shooting that guy dead after only killing a handful of people. Also he knew that no one else would be carrying so he figure he could shot em up for a long time. If you look at the cases where states enacted a right to carry law in all cases violent crimes dropped dramatically. Another thing you have to look at is the 2nd amendment was really made to stop radical governments from taking over the land. Look back to the 2nd World War. I would bet if all the jews had a gun they would have capped any Nazi coming to take them to concentration camps and things might have been a lot different. So I say any laws that restrict guns are bad.

The laws are for the people that most likely want harm anyone, but a few will slip though, anyone that wants to harm another person will will get a gun and it is noway around that one, they will find a gun off of someone on the street or steal one, that is the way it is and always will be.Gun laws are not really going to help.

The best thing for the safety of citizens is repeal gun control laws.
In case you haven't noticed, criminals tend to ignore them, leaving the law-abiding unarmed.

Laws don't keep criminals from committing crime, they couldn't care less. Think about it, how bad is murder? you don't get any tougher law than the death penalty, that doesn't stop them, if you eliminate all guns they will use axes or bombs. You must realize the laws don't help deter crimes.

Throughout history, any Nation that was fooled into giving up it's firearms, got dominated by the govt(Hitler 2 of course).
Nothing people use is w/o some risk. We can't surrender, esp with this kinda of govt--throwing Border Agents in jail with stiff sentences. They forgot to tell them not to really catch any illegal dope smugglers.
