This is a loaded question if you ask me.. heh.. Of course, as a Christian, I would want to immediately say Jesus Christ, but chances are that is not what you're looking for.. (biblical people)...

I would say one of the greatest people to have lived.. would be a woman.. Mother Theresa. I think that the fact that she devoted her life to doing things for others.. and I mean devoted her life more than any other person I have heard of.. I know you said "greatest man".. but I looked at it as "greatest human" if you don't mind :) heh
