Are most of the American people as dumb as our government seems to think we are? Bring it on, you people, who believe everything you're told by a truth-challenged government. I can handle it.

jimfix, I do have personal knowledge of one most important area which our government has ALWAYS lied about. Since this topic is more highly classified than nuclear weapons, it is probably indicative of lies in all other areas of government.

Yes, I would love to hear the truth. If our government told us the truth for just one day, the people of this country would storm Washington D.C. and take it back. Everyone of those decietful bastards would be sent packing and crying into the dark holes they came from. Or, a worse scenario yet, is they would tell the truth one day and there would be mass panic. I hate to say it but it would probably be the latter. There is so much going on behind the scenes that tilts our government to and fro that most people would freak out. Sad, but true.

What have you done about this catastrophic situation you seem to think we are in? What is your position to know that they lie all of the time? I am simply playing devils advocate, just wanting to know where these blanket statements stem from.
When you get out into the world, and off of this computer you will probably find that if most Americans are left alone the Government can tell us the moon is green cheese. Who cares? None of us are rich enough to buy our own senator or president. And, quit frankly, they have done little or nothing to me with their lies, as you say.

I actually did hear several members of congress, the
senate, retired government officials & some of the media
tell the truth about Iraq, just this week.
I'm waiting to hear the truth from the lips from Bush, Cheney
& Rove, but I'm not holding my breath.

I disagree that all and sundry individuals supported, or do help, affirmative action. I additionally disagree that "this is now approximately wealthy and undesirable for the 1st time in our history". Even relationship lower back to the rustic's inception it replaced into all approximately increasing textile wealth, and taking earnings of undesirable labour. human beings had greater of an risk to stay a wealthier life-variety contained in the U. S. than in maximum different international locations, yet that replaced into simply by fact the rustic replaced into being progressed and had a huge quantity of factors to entice from. The undesirable in no way had a appropriate to wellness care, nor has every physique in American history had the institutional good to have first rate employment. i think of you're drawing from a large number of misconceived pop way of life references approximately what it potential to be "American". apart from, those themes (oil dependency, hollow between wealthy and undesirable, and so on.) are complicated themes. jointly as I agree we would desire to alter the way we predict of, mutually, i think of we would desire to continually achieve this with sound technology particularly than over-generalizations.

That would be like telling a bird not to fly, or a fish not to swim. Its built into a politician's DNA.

Yes.
The Democrats consider us working people as dumb.
And I think they are right.
Well......I may be dumb, but at least, I'm no longer a Democrat.
I escaped the Democrat Plantation that keeps blacks & poor whites, down, poor, in their place, and voting Democrat.
I escaped. You can too. BUT, you have to WANT to.
