usually just some time to myself to think things over,shopping or talking on the phone with a really good friend!

Usually, i turn on the radio and in no time i am usually crying. It makes me feel better, afterwards; then i usually put the last bit of that sad feeling to good use and write a poem. I write my best stuff when i am emtionally torn up and sad. I love it. If i were a happy person all the time, i would never have anything important to write....:)

When I am sad what really helps me is when one of my kids will come up and give me a hug and tell me that they love me and that I am a cool mom. Or when my cat will come up and jump up on my lap and just lay there and start purring. Or even hearing my favorite bands song on the radio which is Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven.

Depends on where the sadness is coming from...music makes me happy and depending on what's bugging me Audioslave or Godsmack or Staind or Korn or Rob Zombie or Disturbed or you get the idea .....and sometimes Country music will do the trick believe it or not
