It may be a common belief that you have to write this paragraph. The composition of the fallacy is based on an empty threat which is inconsistant with real life experience, like all programming. What would happen if the entire class refused to hand in this essay and instead handed in a request of dismissal to the head of the school?

A fallacy is anything that is NOT true. An example of a fallacy can be found in inconsistencies, compositions and common beliefs.

For example:
- A fallacy in an inconsistency could be Al Gore. He goes about preaching about global warming and saving the environment. He flys around in his private jet to places to receive awards for his efforts to protect the environment. Then he goes home to his grand mansion which uses tons of power and owns companies that are major polluters.

- A fallacy in a composition could be Hitler's "Mein Kauph" where Hitler said the Germans should rule Europe. He believed the Arians were the super race, and Jews and lesser humans should be removed.

- A fallacy about a common belief would be something like the belief that on the spring and autumn equinox you can balance an egg on its end. The belief holds that eggs can balance better on the equinox because the sun is at the earth's equator. In fact there is no truth to the egg balancing belief... Another example of a common belief would be the celebration of ground hogs day.. Right if a ground hog sees its shadow we will have 6 more weeks of Winter... yeah, right.
