if the coin is worth grading....then you should use one of the better more reputable services...pcgs or ngc...anacs...and even here you should choose wisely....as far as the present market is concern I would really recommend pcgs...again...if the coin is worth grading ....

NGC will except coins from American Numismatic Asso. members, or dealer members. ANACS will except submissions from a private party. www.anacs.com. IGC you must be a member. A coin dealer who deals with PCGS will send it in for you. One thing, a lot of people are getting coins professionally graded, that the grading cost, is more than the coin is worth. If you have a say silver dollar that is MS-64 good for you but they are kind of common. Now if you think it is a MS-66 go for it and see, you may make out real good, of course you may not. Now if you have a rare coin like a 1916-D dime or 1914-D cent, it is worth paying to have it graded and especially authenticated. It will sell easier and you will get a better price. To may people through their money away by getting coins graded and they are not rare or even grade rare. Instead of paying $79 for a PCGS Proof 69 Dolly Madison half, I went shopping and found one that was not graded by a service that was proof-69 for $47.00. You see I know how to grade and also know most modern commemoratives are at least Proof-69. Just my opinion but hope it helps you.
