Depending on where you live you can get a job. Dishing out ice cream and wiping tables is where I started at the local Dairy Queen. Having cash is always nice. I started saving for college when I was 12. There are also a lot of working Mom's who need someone to watch their kids over summer vacation. If kid-sitting is not your thing there are always places to volunteer your time local hospital, food bank, library, boy's and girl's club may even have something that you can do.

You can do a lot of things in summer! You can raise money for a charity by doing a bake sale. You can get into shape by working out everyday and jogging in the park. You can plan creative things to do with your friends. And, yeah, parties are fun! You can plan all kinds of exciting stuff! Most bowling alleys allow you to have lock-ins (all-nighters) with you friends. You could also try to learn something new (like learn how to play drums or guitar). You can try to join a reading club with the library and read books. You can watch movies at the theater..... There's so much stuff you can do!

If you are over 16, get a summer job. If you are under 16, I'm sure you need to go to summer school. Even kindergartners know that "I" is always capitalized and not written as a lowercase "i". Also, all sentences start with a capital letter!

The best thing you can do is get involved with your community.
There has to be alot of places looking for volunteers.

I had a job by 14.
But I still volunteered in town, and I also cut the grass for seniors in my area.
Sometimes they gave me cash, others were really good cooks and bakers so they fed me.
LOL
But my intention was just to help out and not expect anything in return.

And it helped later when I got older.
Had a great reputaion in town and bussiness owners were phoning me to come work for them.

I had 3 jobs at one point.

So there is alot for you do to.
Also remember to have your own fun.

Did that hlep??
Or Too preachy??
LOL

Check with your local college or university. Many offer non-credit programs for teens in science, English and history. Check with your local library, they usually run reading contests for younger kids and always need help with them. Volunteer at your local hospital, or nursing center. Do some community service and learn!! Have a great summer!
