Other teams need to step up. If they want to claim the title of world champions they need to earn it. I don't like the Australian team but I respect them tremendously.
I do think however that the 2011 tourney is going to be a different game. A lot of Australia's top players are retiring and they're going to need to rebuild, and during that period other teams are going to step up.
There are teams out there with lots of potential and talent, WI especially but those guys just need to get committed to the game.

I agree with you, but rather than feel annoyed at Australia for winning 3 times in a row, I think the best thing is for other teams to learn from them. They're obviously the strongest nation in cricket and the only way to prevent them from winning again is to gain the same skills that they've mastered.
Other teams need strong batsmen as well as bowlers. Australia have this perfect balance, which helps them to avoid a situation where you have to rely on only on your batting or only on your bowling. It's so important to be the best at both. What amazed me was that they've never lost more than 6 wickets in any of their games this World Cup. Their lower order has never had to come out and bat because their batsmen have always delivered.
Similarly, no other team has won agaist them because their fielding has been so accurate or their bowlers have always delivered by taking wickets at the right times.
The best way to achieve this, I think, is to copy Australia in the innovative way they've approached their coaching. Their fielding coach is originally a baseball player, not a cricketer. It's so clever of them to recognise that if something is to be improved, its necessary to think out of the box. I also read somewhere that the Australian players are taught to use both left and right hands when fielding, regardless of which they prefer. Its the simple things like this matter.
Once other nations master these skills and give importance purely and only to these skills, I think and hope that the World Cup will be a fairer contest.

I think a few other teams are equally capable as the Aussies (with few exceptions) but others lack the psychological factor which is crucial in today's world cricket. The reason why the Aussies rock is the fact that they are psychologically strong and they take expert consultation in that area. Edward de Bono mentioned about the Australian cricket team in his book "how to have a beautiful mind" and the Aussies are a fan of his theories and De Bono tells the reason why the Aussies are a successful set of winners. No wonder they are psychologically strong....

i know what are trying to say but as long as Australia works hard and produce great cricketeres i m sorry i think we would have to just sit and watch aussie win everything unless other cricket teams. take their a s s to the ground and work hard
in my opinion other countries to should study how cricket domestically works in Australia
and then learn from them to correct their mistakes
and i saw u said aussies wont be that strong in 2011. i dont think that would be the case cuz Australian domestic cricket is so strong that they never feel incomplete if one of their best players gets injured or retires
Aussies made it to the finals 4 times in a row and each time they had different team
some new players in Australian cricket team have started to show their talent such as Michael Clarke, shaun tait, Nathan Bracken and few

The other countries that compete need to learn how to play properly. 3 in a row is NOT enough and who are you to say it is. Why has there been so much Aussie bashing this world cup, I think the rest of the world is just bitter and jealous that us Aussies are so much better than the rest. GET OVER IT!!!!
Congrats to our boys for winning!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are right.........I think this domination is killing the interest in this game...but again the fault is in other teams......If Australians can play so perfect, why can't others?Whenever they face Australia, they are mentaly prepared for the defeat and thats not a healthy attitude......Australia is doing great but others teams are not playing up to the mark.........now see, we can't just request Australia, not to play that good!but yes to prevent this all, other teams must put some Real hard work....!
