I KNOW i will go to heaven because i believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God. He was crucified for my sin. He rose again on the third day. He sits at the right hand of God. He paid my sin debt in full. I have REPENTED and asked forgiveness and asked Him to be my Lord and Savior. The bible says to repent ( change your mind about wanting a life of sin and turn your back on that life style and follow Christ instead ) to believe in Jesus and that He died as a substitute for you and the punishment you deserve and believe He is Lord and you will be saved. If you have love for His word ( the bible ) and for other Christians and you find yourself wanting to obey Him then you are probably saved. If you just said a prayer and went on to live like you always have and give no thought to what He wants you to do and dont care for His word, Christians or being taught about the bible then you probably are not saved. The bible says there is one mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ. No one goes to the Father but through Christ. It also says you are saved by grace through faith and not by anything YOU do so that nobody can boast. The bible also says to examine yourself to see if you are in the faith. If you dont see any changes in yourself then you probably arent saved. You can not be perfect , but you will want to please God .You can NOT get to heaven by being a good person! I'm somewhere in between, but I'm not THAT bad. I think we can work something out, like hell Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and heaven Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, just to keep me out of trouble.
